John Joe Gardiner transformed these two reels into works of art and Brendan was steadfast in his belief that they were two very special tunes. He was at pains to instil in his tunes the importance of the long note, the need to bring out the pathos in the dance music, as well as the fun. We hope we achieved some of that in this playing.

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
